The President and seven Vice-Presidents will be elected at the 2008 General Assembly. In accordance with Article 83 at least two of the seven Vice-Presidents must be women. In order to be eligible as a candidate for President or Vice-President, a candidate must be nominated by five or more MNAs. MNAs may nominate as many or as few candidates as they wish. There is no requirement that the candidate is nominated by his own MNA.

Nomination Deadline
Nominations for candidates must be notified to the ISAF Secretary General by 12:00 UTC on Friday 19 September. The nomination letter must be signed by the MNA President or Secretary General (or equivalent in position).
Election Committee
The ISAF Council has appointed the following Election Committee: His Majesty King Constantine – Chair, Peter Siemsen (BRA), Peter Tallberg (FIN) and John Tinker (CAN). The Election Committee is responsible to:
• determine whether or not a nominated candidate is eligible for election
• publish a list of eligible candidates nominated in accordance with Article 71 together with the names of their nominating Full Members for distribution with the agendas of Council
• be responsible for the conduct of the election and the votes taken for the candidates during the meeting of the General Assembly
