Both sailors took a bullet yesterday with Sundby finishing third in race 6 and Multala only managing ninth in race 5. Previous leader and the current World Champion, Sarah BLANCK (AUS) has slipped to fourth after finishing 14 in race 5 and seventh in race 6. Sarah MACKY (NZL) has moved up to third, finishing fourth in both races yesterday. Completing the top five is Lenka SMIDOVA (CZE) on equal points with Macky, despite not competing in race 5.

The championship is still very much open with two more days of racing scheduled. Sundby and Multala are stretching away 7 points ahead at the front of the fleet but are by no means unstoppable.

In the men’s fleet it is Spain dominating the top five with sailors in first, second and fourth. Francisco TERRASA lies one point ahead of his countryman Manual JIMENEZ with Sweden’s Frederik SVENSSON in third place.
