| ISAF Sailor is a service offered by ISAF commencing 1 March 2002. It is aimed at sailors across the spectrum from top international sailors to local club sailors to anyone who is interested in sailing and wishes to receive information from the world governing body. The aim of ISAF Sailor is to provide an evolving range of online services to the benefit of the sport. To date, over 60,000 ISAF Sailor IDs have been assigned.
Once registered as an ISAF Sailor you will receive a unique and personal ISAF Sailor ID. Once you have your Sailor ID you can log on at www.sailing.org to update your ISAF Sailor Biography, use the Sailor Forums and apply for an ISAF Sailor Classification.

Sailor Classification
For those sailors entering events which require an ISAF Sailor Classification, ISAF provides a free online system. The ISAF Sailor Classification is the one international system of classification used around the world.
To apply for a Classification you must have an ISAF Sailor ID. Then simply log in to ISAF Sailor and click the blue ‘ISAF Sailor Classification’ button. This will take you to the Classification area where you can apply for a new Classification, renew your Classification and print your current Classification certificate.
Your Sailor Biography
Once you have a Sailor ID, you can create your own online Sailor Biography. Your Sailor Biog can include personal and general information, your images, your sponsor's logo and link to their website, your campaign website, and results. For sailors featured on the ISAF Rankings, your biography will include your results from ISAF Graded events and your full Ranking history. Just make sure you submit your ISAF Sailor ID at the event registration.
Sailors' Forums
The Sailors' Forum is the place to air your views, express what you think about sailing, what you would like to know more about, what you think ISAF should be doing for the sport. It is there for sailors, so use it as you wish.
Search for a Sailor
Want to know more about some of the world's top international sailors, or your local sailing club rival. The ISAF Sailor Biography is the place to look. You can search for sailors by name, country, Sailor ID and Class and view the biography information they have posted.
The Future
After the launch of the new ISAF website in September 2007, we’ll also be updating an expanding the services in ISAF Sailor. If you have a suggestion for a service that you would like to see offered, please send ISAF an email to ISAF Sailor.
When a new ISAF Service has been launched, ISAF will notify registered ISAF Sailors by email and you will be invited to register for the additional services.
